Gim finished 4-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gim defeated Kim 6-5, then won 7-5 against Minseo Kim (Jeonbuk, KOR) and 9-7 against Minjae Jung (Uiseong, KOR). Gim won 7-5 against Youbeen Park (Seoul, KOR). Gim went on to lose 5-4 against Ha. Gim lost 0-0 to Ha in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Uiseong Korean Cup, Gim take home 16.500 world rankings points.
