Cara Thomson (Perth, SCO) finished 3-6 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thomson defeated Jessica Sharp (Perth, SCO) 12-5, then won 8-3 against Amy Seftor (Edinburgh, SCO). Thomson went on to lose 8-4 against Tia Laurie (Dumfries, SCO). Thomson lost 6-4 to Jodi Leigh Bass (Dumfries, SCO). Thomson lost 9-2 to Robyn Munro (Stranraer, SCO). Thomson lost 14-3 to Ishbel McCartney (Dumfries, SCO). Thomson lost 7-6 to Callie Soutar (Forfar, SCO) where Thomson responded with a 9-4 win over Carla Morris (Dumfries, SCO). Thomson went on to lose 8-7 against Layla Huntly (Dumfries, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Thomson earned 0.563 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Thomson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Thomson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
