Callie Soutar (Forfar, SCO) lost 10-2 to Robyn Munro (Stranraer, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, held November 10 - 15, 2023 at the Curl Aberdeen in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Soutar finished 8-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Soutar defeated Carla Morris (Dumfries, SCO) 15-5, then won 7-6 against Munro and 10-7 against Ishbel McCartney (Dumfries, SCO). Soutar won 9-3 against Tia Laurie (Dumfries, SCO). Soutar went on to lose 9-7 against Jodi Leigh Bass (Dumfries, SCO). Soutar responded with a 6-5 win over Layla Huntly (Dumfries, SCO). Soutar won 7-6 against Cara Thomson (Perth, SCO), then won 7-6 against Jessica Sharp (Perth, SCO) and 7-5 against Amy Seftor (Edinburgh, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Scottish Curling Junior Championships, Soutar take home 2.750 world rankings points. For week 17 of the event schedule, Soutar did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Soutar ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
