In their opening game, Papley/van Amsterdam defeated Brett Barber/Mitch Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) 10-6, then won 14-3 against Karen Dreaver/Roger Dougall (Canmore, AB). Papley/van Amsterdam went on to lose 9-3 against Schmiemann/Ginter. Papley/van Amsterdam responded with a 11-5 win over Peterman/Gallant.
