Andreas Haarstad (Oppdal, NOR) lost 6-4 to Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN) in the Final of the Match Town Trophy, held October 12 - 15, 2023 in Jonkoping, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Haarstad won 7-6 over Axel Landelius (Mjoelby, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2023 Match Town Trophy in Jonkoping, Sweden; and won 6-3 over Sweden's Fredrik Nyman in the quarterfinals.
 
Haarstad finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Haarstad defeated Anders Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) 8-0, then went on to lose 5-4 against Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT). Haarstad responded with a 7-4 win over Claes Mattsson (Jonkoping, SWE). Haarstad went on to lose 8-5 against Sweden's Fredrik Nyman in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Match Town Trophy, Haarstad take home 8.250 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize. Haarstad move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 6.375 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 48th overall with 78.211 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
