MacDiarmid finished 3-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacDiarmid lost 7-6 to Jocelyn Adams (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 9-3 win over Quillian. MacDiarmid won 5-4 against Tanya Phillips (Halifax, NS), then won 8-3 against Jessica Daigle (Halifax , NS) in their final qualifying round match.
