Tirinzoni finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni defeated Kristyna Farkova (Prague, CZE) 7-4, then won 10-2 against Youbeen Park (Seoul, KOR) and 5-2 against Emira Abbes (Fuessen, GER). Tirinzoni won 6-4 against Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Womens Masters Basel Championship title, Tirinzoni earned 37.500 world rankings points along with the $15,034CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 452.500 total points.
