Masayuki Namioka (Morioka, JPN) finished 1-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Namioka lost 7-4 to Yuun Ishimura (Aomori, JPN), droppimg another game, 7-4 to Japan's Nobuyuki Kato where Namioka responded with a 8-5 win over Japan's Takahiro Kodama. Namioka went on to lose 7-4 against Tsuyoshi Sukekawa (Morioka, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Namioka earned 0.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 19 of the event schedule, Namioka did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Namioka ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
