To advance to the championship game, Smith won 10-5 over Lucy Neilson (Naseby, NZL) in the semifinals of the 2024 New Zealand National Championships in Naseby, New Zealand;
Smith finished 5-1 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Tahlia Peterson (Naseby, NZL) 9-3, then won 2-0 against Joanna Olszewski (Naseby, NZL) and 8-2 against Olivia Oram (Naseby, NZL). Smith won 11-2 against Neilson. Smith went on to lose 8-3 against Smith. Smith responded with a 10-1 win over Grace Apuwai-Bishop (Naseby, NZL) in their final qualifying round match.
