Jessica Smith (Naseby, NZL) won 9-3 over Courtney Smith (Naseby, NZL) in the Final of the New Zealand National Championships, held June 14 - 18, 2023 at the Naseby Curling Club in Naseby, New Zealand. To advance to the championship game, Smith won 16-1 over Joanna Olszewski (Naseby, NZL) in the semifinals

Smith finished 6-0 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Lucy Neilson (Naseby, NZL) 11-4, then won 13-3 against Tahlia Peterson (Naseby, NZL) and 13-1 against Olszewski. Smith won 11-2 against Grace Apuwai-Bishop (Naseby, NZL), then won 8-3 against Smith and 16-4 against Olivia Oram (Naseby, NZL) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the New Zealand National Championships Championship title, Smith earned 11.250 world rankings points. Smith gained 20.25 points improving upon their best 2 events, though dropped 100 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 100thplace overall with 20.250 total points. Smith ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.250 points earned so far this season.
