Long won 11-1 against William Becker (Naseby, NZL). Long went on to lose 9-2 against Becker in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their fourth place finish at the New Zealand National Championships, Long take home 1.500 world rankings points, dropping 380 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 380th place overall with 1.500 total points. Long ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.500 points earned so far this season.
