To advance to the championship game, Grattan won 5-1 over Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals
Grattan finished 2-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grattan lost 9-6 to Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI), then responded with a 7-2 win over Bryce Everist (Halifax, NS). Grattan went on to lose 11-2 against Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB). Grattan responded with a 7-4 win over Brody Hanson (Moncton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the New Scotland Brewing Co. Mens Cash Spiel Championship title, Grattan earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 68th place overall with 51.551 total points. Grattan ranks 97th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.500 points earned so far this season.
