Peterson finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson lost 10-5 to Anderson, then responded with a 11-5 win over Rachel Workin (Fargo, ND). Peterson won 8-5 against Miranda Scheel (Fargo, ND), then won 9-6 against Delaney Strouse (Traverse City, MI) and 12-7 against Christine McMakin (Minneapolis, MN). Peterson won 10-3 against Kim Rhyme (Minneapolis, MN), then won 10-6 against Elizabeth Cousins (Boston, MA) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the USA Curling National Championships Championship title, Peterson earned 37.500 world rankings points. Peterson gained -23.312 points improving upon their best 8 events, though dropped 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 13thplace overall with 165.875 total points.
