Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) won 10-3 over Yuri Nakajima (Miyota, JPN) in the Final of the Kanto Curling Championships, held January 7 - 9, 2023 in Karuizawa, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Koana won 8-6 over Japan's Kotono Chiyoda in the semifinals
Koana finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koana defeated Japan's Hatsue Hirama 7-3, then won 13-3 against Japan's Yukihiko Nakamura and 9-7 against Japan's Fumiko Tanimoto in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Kanto Curling Championships Championship title, Koana earned 7.500 world rankings points. For week 23 of the event schedule, Koana did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Koana ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
