Eduard Veltsman (Tallinn, EST) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Veltsman finished 2-5 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Veltsman lost 9-5 to Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN), then responded with a 13-9 win over Chris Ribau (Lisbon, POR). Veltsman went on to lose 9-5 against Eddy Mercier (Megeve, FRA). Veltsman lost 10-4 to Kristof Czermann (Budapest, HUN) where Veltsman responded with a 7-3 win over Martins Truksans (Riga, LAT). Veltsman went on to lose 9-3 against Konrad Stych (Warsaw, POL). Veltsman lost 10-5 to Timothy Verreycken (Zemst, BEL) in their final qualifying round match.

Veltsman earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 18 of the event schedule, Veltsman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Veltsman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
