Eduard Nikolov (Kyiv, UKR) finished 3-4 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nikolov defeated Lukas Matt (Liechtenstein, LIE) 17-3, then won 15-6 against James Pougher (Hawarden, WAL) and 8-6 against Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT). Nikolov went on to lose 11-3 against Juraj Gallo (Bratislava, SVK). Nikolov lost 10-2 to Rob Retchless (Preston, ENG). Nikolov lost 9-6 to Gontzal Garcia (San Sebastian, ESP). Nikolov lost 8-4 to Ireland's John Wilson in their final qualifying round match.

Nikolov earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 18 of the event schedule, Nikolov did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Nikolov ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
