Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) finished 3-6 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gosgens lost 10-1 to Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA), droppimg another game, 8-4 to Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI). Gosgens lost 7-5 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) where Gosgens responded with a 10-3 win over Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Gosgens won 7-6 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR). Gosgens went on to lose 11-7 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Gosgens lost 9-4 to Bruce Mouat (STIRLING, SCO). Gosgens lost 8-4 to Sixten Totzek (FÃ¼ssen, GER) where Gosgens responded with a 10-7 win over Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.

Gosgens earned 10.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 23rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 5.625 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gosgens ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 68.000 points earned so far this season.
