Celia Evans (Waterloo, ON) lost 10-7 to Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the USPORT Curling Canada University Championships, held March 12 - 16, 2024 in Sudbury, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Evans won 12-7 over Jenna Campbell (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals of the 2024 USPORT Curling Canada University Championships in Sudbury, Ontario;
Evans finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Evans defeated Maddy Warriner (Hamilton, ON) 12-9, then won 9-8 against Allyson MacNutt (Halifax, NS) and 8-3 against Mahra Harris (Victoria, BC). Evans went on to lose 9-4 against Gray-Withers. Evans responded with a 10-6 win over Olivia Wynter (Sackville, NS). Evans went on to lose 6-2 against Campbell. Evans lost 7-4 to Bella Croisier (Sudbury, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the USPORT Curling Canada University Championships, Evans take home 5.500 world rankings points. For week 34 of the event schedule, Evans did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Evans ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
