Josh Bryden (Regina, SK) won 8-5 over Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the USPORT Curling Canada University Championships, held March 12 - 16, 2024 in Sudbury, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Bryden won 7-5 over Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals
 
Bryden finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryden lost 7-4 to Sam Mooibroek (Waterloo, ON), then responded with a 9-2 win over Jamie Stewart (Fredericton, NB). Bryden won 8-5 against Jayden King (Guelph, ON). Bryden went on to lose 8-4 against Purcell. Bryden responded with a 8-6 win over Owen Henry (St.Catherines, ON). Bryden went on to lose 6-3 against Tao. Bryden responded with a 6-5 win over Nick Mosher (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the USPORT Curling Canada University Championships Championship title, Bryden earned 7.500 world rankings points, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 83rd place overall with 34.438 total points. Bryden ranks 83rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 34.438 points earned so far this season.
