Kayleigh Shannon (Calgary, AB) lost 8-5 to Gabby Wood (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the CCAA / Curling Canada College Championships, held March 12 - 16, 2024 in Sudbury, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Shannon won 12-5 over Josie Zimmerman (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals

Shannon finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shannon defeated Sasha Wilson (Victoria, BC) 7-1, then won 10-7 against Meaghan Mallett (Toronto, ON) and 11-5 against Zimmerman. Shannon won 13-2 against Kristen Carlson (Assiniboine, MB), then won 9-5 against Veronica Van Broekhoven (London, ON) and 13-4 against Ava Andrews (Hamilton, ON). Shannon went on to lose 8-6 against Wood in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the CCAA / Curling Canada College Championships, Shannon take home 2.750 world rankings points. For week 34 of the event schedule, Shannon did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Shannon ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
