Kyle Kurz (Winnipeg, MB) lost 6-4 to Shaun Meachem (Swift Current, SK) in the Final of the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship, held November 5 - 11, 2023 at the Swift Current Curling Club in Swift Current, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Kurz won 6-5 over Scott McDonald (St. Thomas, ON) in the semifinals of the 2024 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Kurz finished 9-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kurz defeated Keith Ryan (Labrador City, NL) 11-4, then won 12-1 against Peter Van Strien (Iqaluit, NU) and 5-3 against Charlie Sullivan (Saint John, NB). Kurz won 9-4 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT), then won 5-2 against Evan van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) and 7-3 against Cameron de Jong (Victoria, BC). Kurz won 8-2 against Tyler Smith (Crapaud, PEI), then won 5-3 against Paul Flemming (Halifax, NS) and 4-3 against McDonald. Kurz went on to lose 11-2 against Meachem in their final qualifying round match.
