Sergio Vez (San Sebastian, ESP) qualified for the 2023 WCT Lodz Men's International playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-3 against Fabio Ribotta (Pinerolo, ITA).

Vez finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Vez defeated Borys Jasiecki (Lodz, POL) 7-6, then went on to lose 7-6 against Marco Onnis (Pinerolo, ITA). Vez responded with a 7-6 win over Jan Tanner (Zug, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Vez earned 1.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WCT Lodz Men's International, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 180th place overall with 11.016 total points. Vez ranks 202nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.250 points earned so far this season.
