Kim won 7-2 against Bobae Kang (Songhyun, KOR), then won 9-3 against Minjae Jung (Uiseong, KOR) and 8-3 against Ha. Kim went on to lose 7-3 against Gim. Kim responded with a 10-3 win over Kim in their final qualifying round match.
