Peterson finished 3-0 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson defeated Emily Cherwinski (Winnipeg, MB) 7-4, then won 2-0 against Kristy Watling (Winnipeg, MB) and 7-6 against McLeod in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the MCT Championships Championship title, Peterson earned 11.250 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. Peterson move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 10.5 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 33rd overall with 108.578 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
