Tompkins finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tompkins lost 12-4 to Marc Pfister (Manilla, PHI), then responded with a 12-1 win over Marcio Dias Santos Rodrigues (Sao Paulo, BRA). Tompkins won 12-1 against Rodrigues. Tompkins went on to lose 7-3 against Chang. Tompkins responded with a 6-4 win over Amar Masalmeh (Riyadh, KSA). Tompkins won 16-2 against Oliver Echenje (Nairobi, KEN), then won 12-1 against P.N. Raju (Hyderabad, IN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their fourth place finish at the Pan-Continental Championships -- B-Division, Tompkins take home 1.500 world rankings points. For week 15 of the event schedule, Tompkins did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tompkins ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
