Armstrong went on to lose 7-5 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE). Armstrong lost 7-1 to Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Armstrong earned 2.625 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
