Fay Henderson (Stirling, GBR) 6-4, then won 8-5 against Corrie Huerlimann (Zug, SUI). Duncan went on to lose 7-3 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Duncan lost 8-2 to Eunjung Kim (Gangneung, KOR) where Duncan responded with a 6-5 win over Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg , MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Duncan earned 7.875 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 51st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 4.875 after improving upon their best so far this season. Duncan ranks 52nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 22.125 points earned so far this season.
