To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 7-2 over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2023 Insitu Players Open in Dundas, Ontario, Canada; and won 5-2 over Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Insitu Players Open in Dundas, Ontario, Canada;
 
Bottcher finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Daniel Hocevar (Toronto, ON) 5-3, then went on to lose 9-4 against Koe. Bottcher responded with a 5-0 win over Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON). Bottcher won 6-3 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN), then won 4-3 against Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Insitu Players Open Championship title, Bottcher earned 52.500 world rankings points along with the $20,000CDN first prize cheque.
