To advance to the championship game, Tabata won 6-5 over Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN) in the semifinals
Tabata finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tabata defeated Yuina Miura (Nayoro, JPN) 7-2, then went on to lose 7-5 against Yoshimura. Tabata responded with a 12-1 win over Asuka Kanai (Karuizawa, JPN). Tabata won 8-4 against Youbeen Park (Seoul, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic, Tabata take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $4,646CDN prize, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 63rd place overall with 44.075 total points. Tabata ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.000 points earned so far this season.
