Sturmay went on to lose 8-7 against Skrlik. Sturmay responded with a 8-5 win over Michelle Hartwell (Sherwood Park, AB). Sturmay won 8-5 against Jessie Hunkin (Spruce Grove, AB), then won 9-4 against Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Sentinel Storage Alberta Scotties Championship title, Sturmay earned 22.500 world rankings points. Sturmay move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 14.25 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 20th overall with 161.953 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
