CHAMPION: Han/Zou Wins 2024 Mixed Doubles Prague Trophy

Yu Han/Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN) won 8-5 over Emira Abbes/Klaudius Harsch (Fuessen, GER) in the Final of the Mixed Doubles Prague Trophy, held April 5 - 7, 2024 in Prague, Czechia. To advance to the championship game, Han/Zou won 6-4 over Jasmin Lander/Henrik Holtermann (Hvidovre, DEN) in the semifinals of the 2024 Mixed Doubles Prague Trophy in Prague, Czechia; and won 7-5 over Marie Kaldvee/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) in the quarterfinals.
Han/Zou finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Han/Zou defeated Lotta Immonen/Markus Sipila (Espoo, FIN) 9-0, then won 10-5 against Emma Erzsebet Szurmay/Bajan Kan Ferenci (Budapest, HUN) and 8-4 against Kristyna Farkova/David Jakl (Prague, CZE). Han/Zou won 8-5 against Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt (Brisbane, AUS), then won 8-6 against Adela Walczak/Andrzej Augustyniak (Lodz, POL) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Mixed Doubles Prague Trophy Championship title, Han/Zou earned 26.250 world rankings points along with the $1,470CDN first prize cheque. For week 37 of the event schedule, Han/Zou did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 31st place on the World Ranking Standings with 60.252 total points. Han/Zou ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 60.252 points earned so far this season.
