Weagle/Epping finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Weagle/Epping defeated Mackenzie Kiemele/Graham Singer (Toronto, ON) 5-2, then won 12-3 against Hanna Davis/Steve Davis (Mississauga, ON) and 9-2 against Jessica Shipmaker/Graeme Robson (Mississauga, ON).
