CHAMPION: Kaldvee/Lill Wins 2024 Mixed Doubles Players' Championship

Marie Kaldvee/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) won 10-5 over Kristin Moen Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) in the Final of the Mixed Doubles Players' Championship, held February 8 - 11, 2024 in Brantford, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Kaldvee/Lill won 7-4 over Lisa Weagle/John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2024 Mixed Doubles Players' Championship in Brantford, Ontario; and won 6-3 over Marlee Powers/Luke Saunders (Halifax, NS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Mixed Doubles Players' Championship in Brantford, Ontario;

Kaldvee/Lill finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaldvee/Lill lost 7-6 to Therese Westman/Robin Ahlberg (Stockholm, SWE), then responded with a 8-3 win over Skaslien/Nedregotten. Kaldvee/Lill won 12-0 against Jenna Page/Joey Rettinger (Hamilton, ON), then won 7-6 against Brittany Tran/Catlin Schneider (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Mixed Doubles Players' Championship Championship title, Kaldvee/Lill earned 48.750 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 6th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.562 after improving upon their best so far this season. Kaldvee/Lill ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 108.625 points earned so far this season.
