In their opening game, Tonoli lost 7-6 to Tahli Gill (Melbourne, AUS), droppimg another game, 10-5 to Jennifer Jones (Barrie, CAN). Tonoli lost 7-4 to Jennifer Dodds (Stirling, SCO) where Tonoli responded with a 8-6 win over Linda Joo (Budapest, HUN). Tonoli won 8-7 against Jasmin Lander (Hvidovre, DEN). Tonoli went on to lose 8-6 against Stefania Constantini (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Tonoli lost 7-5 to Julie Zelingrova (Prague, CZE) where Tonoli responded with a 8-4 win over Jiyoon Kim (Seoul, KOR). Tonoli won 8-6 against Marie Kaldvee (Tallinn, EST) in their final qualifying round match.

Tonoli earned 16.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 39 of the event schedule, Tonoli did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tonoli ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
