Matsumura went on to lose 9-1 against Briar Schwaller (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, Matsumura take home 60.500 world rankings points, dropping 12 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 721st place overall with 158.000 total points.
