Thunman/Magnusson finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thunman/Magnusson defeated Alva Sundberg/Axel Yseus (Karlstad, SWE) 9-4, then won 11-2 against Nilla Hallstrom/Johan Engqvist (Harnosands, SWE). Thunman/Magnusson went on to lose 6-4 against Filippa Jillehed/Pontus Persson (Norrkoping, SWE). Thunman/Magnusson responded with a 11-4 win over Sofie Bergman/Fredrik Nyman (Ostersunds, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the SM Mixed Doubles Championship title, Thunman/Magnusson earned 15.000 world rankings points. For week 20 of the event schedule, Thunman/Magnusson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
