Gill/Hewitt finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gill/Hewitt defeated Jolene Callum/Steven Michaleski (Winnipeg, MB) 8-2, then won 11-5 against Piper Stoesz/Keith Stoesz (Winnipeg, MB) and 9-5 against Dawn McEwen/Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). For winning the Manitoba Mixed Doubles Curling Tour Championship Championship title, Gill/Hewitt earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN first prize cheque.
