To advance to the championship game, MacMillan/Middleton won 8-4 over Anne Sophie Gionest/Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, QC) in the semifinals of the 2023 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec; and won 7-6 over Clancy Grandy/Catlin Schneider (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec;
MacMillan/Middleton finished 4-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacMillan/Middleton defeated Amber Gargul/Leandre Girard (Pointe-Claire, QC) 8-2, then won 8-7 against Nancy Martin/Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) and 7-5 against Megan Lafrance/Raphael Tremblay (Saguenay, QC). MacMillan/Middleton won 11-6 against Edith Cottenoir/Yannick Martel (Saguenay, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
