To advance to the championship game, Riley/Mullen won 7-6 over Nancy Martin/Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals   of the 2023 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec; and won 8-4 over Melissa Adams/Alex Robichaud (Moncton, NB) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2023 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec; 
 
Riley/Mullen finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Riley/Mullen lost 10-2 to Olivia Jones/Dustin Mikush (Saskatoon, SK), then responded with a 8-4 win over Valerie Tanguay/Denis Robichaud (Saguenay, QC). Riley/Mullen won 6-4 against Lauren Cheal/Greg Cheal (Sherbrooke, QC), then won 7-2 against Kelly Tremblay/Pierre Lanoue (Boucherville, MTL) in their final qualifying round match.
