Black finished 3-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Black defeated Kelsey Boyd (Montreal, QC) 7-1, then won 6-4 against Lauren Horton (Montreal, QC) and 8-4 against Leanne Fortin (Saguenay, QC). Black went on to lose 9-5 against Inglis in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Summer Series, Black take home 19.250 world rankings points along with the $3,500CDN prize. For week 5 of the event schedule, Black did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 257th to 261st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 1.125 total points.
