Yannick Martel (Saguenay, QC) lost 8-5 to Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Summer Series, held August 24 - 27, 2023 in St-Felicien, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Martel won 7-1 over Jayden King (Guelph, ON) in the semifinals of the 2023 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec; and won 7-2 over Sam Steep (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec;
 
Martel finished 2-2 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martel lost 8-2 to John Epping (Toronto, ON), then responded with a 8-3 win over Stephane Michaud (Saguenay, QC). Martel went on to lose 10-0 against Steep. Martel responded with a 7-6 win over Jean-Michel Arsenault (Levis, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Summer Series, Martel take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $3,500CDN prize, moving up 17 spots the World Ranking Standings into 78th place overall with 47.852 total points. Martel ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.750 points earned so far this season.
