Purcell finished 3-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Purcell defeated Jayden King (Guelph, ON) 9-6, then won 6-3 against Jordan McNamara (Ottawa, ON) and 10-5 against P.N. Raju (Hyderabad, IN). Purcell went on to lose 7-1 against Mooibroek in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Summer Series Championship title, Purcell earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $5,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 48th place overall with 77.438 total points. Purcell ranks 18th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.750 points earned so far this season.
