Symonds went on to lose 8-4 against Dylan Hancock (St. John's, NL). Symonds responded with a 8-4 win over Randy Turpin (St. John's, NL). Symonds won 8-3 against Young in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Rick Rowsell Classic, Symonds take home 5.500 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN prize. For week 9 of the event schedule, Symonds did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
