In their opening game, Horton lost 6-4 to Jasmin Gibeau (Buckingham, QC), droppimg another game, 9-1 to Chris Gardner (Ottawa, ON) where Horton responded with a 9-5 win over Robin Duguay (Buckingham, QC). Horton won 7-2 against Francis Hawco (Ottawa, ON). Horton went on to lose 6-1 against Gibeau in their final qualifying round match.
