Kaufman finished 2-2 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaufman lost 6-2 to Clark, then responded with a 8-4 win over Michelle Hartwell (Sherwood Park, AB). Kaufman won 6-2 against Adele Purcell (Edmonton, AB). Kaufman went on to lose 10-5 against Clark in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kaufman earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Alberta Curling Series - Event 2, moving up 19 spots the World Ranking Standings into 80th place overall with 31.447 total points. Kaufman ranks 78th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.000 points earned so far this season.
