To advance to the championship game, Howard won 10-4 over Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2023 Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada; and won 7-6 over Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Howard finished 4-1 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Howard defeated Catlin Schneider (Victoria, BC) 7-2, then won 8-3 against Dave Belway (Penticton, BC). Howard went on to lose 5-4 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). Howard responded with a 9-2 win over Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC). Howard won 7-4 against Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic Championship title, Howard earned 45.000 world rankings points along with the $20,000CDN first prize cheque. Howard move up 13 spots after posting a net gain of 35.125 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 34th overall with 112.751 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Howard ranks 32nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 83.126 points earned so far this season.
