Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK) qualified for the 2023 Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-1 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN). of the 2023 Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada;

McEwen finished 4-1 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) 7-4, then won 10-1 against Nolan Blaeser (Vernon, BC). McEwen went on to lose 7-4 against Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB). McEwen responded with a 9-4 win over Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR). McEwen won 6-2 against Rob Nobert (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

McEwen earned 18.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Nufloors Penticton Curling Classic. McEwen move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 2.019 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 14th overall with 186.441 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
