In their opening game, Plett lost 9-0 to Rui Wang (Beijing, CHN), droppimg another game, 8-2 to Abby Marks (Edmonton, AB) where Plett responded with a 8-6 win over Morgan Muise (Edmonton, AB). Plett went on to lose 8-7 against Jessie Hunkin (Spruce Grove, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Plett earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 98th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 24.375 total points. Plett ranks 99th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.375 points earned so far this season.
