Catlin Schneider (Victoria, BC) lost 4-2 to Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Saville Shootout, held September 8 - 11, 2023 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Schneider won 6-5 over Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2023 Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 8-6 over Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Schneider finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schneider defeated Scott Webb (Grande Prairie, AB) 9-3, then won 12-6 against Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB). Schneider went on to lose 7-4 against Bottcher. Schneider responded with a 7-6 win over Wiebe. Schneider won 11-6 against Jacob Libbus (Okotoks, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Saville Shootout, Schneider take home 24.750 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 27th place overall with 144.454 total points. Schneider ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 25.875 points earned so far this season.
