Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB) won 4-2 over Catlin Schneider (Victoria, BC) in the Final of the Saville Shootout, held September 8 - 11, 2023 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 5-3 over Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2023 Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 9-0 over Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Bottcher finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB) 7-2, then won 7-1 against Jacob Libbus (Okotoks, AB) and 7-4 against Schneider. Bottcher won 9-3 against Scott Webb (Grande Prairie, AB). Bottcher went on to lose 7-4 against Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Saville Shootout Championship title, Bottcher earned 33.750 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 4th place overall with 395.750 total points. Bottcher ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.750 points earned so far this season.
